Have you sought fertility treatment before? Why did you choose Dr. NeeOo W. Chin as your fertility expert?: 

We did not. We were recommended by our doctor in Oxford, OH when we couldn’t get pregnant. We loved how Dr. Chin listened to us and took time to answer any questions we had. We had been trying to conceive for 5 years with no luck. I would say that we were so sad walking into his office and left feeling hopeful after speaking with him about our options. 

What were your expectations going into it?: 

Honestly, we had been trying to conceive for so long, I just didn’t think pregnancy was in the cards for us. I thought we would try this, but even when feeling hopeful, I was still scared that nothing would work for us. 

Can you summarize what treatments you received and your experience with Dr. Chin and the team?: 

We did three rounds of IUI, which were not successful. We did one round of IVF that succeeded after our first embryo transfer! Our second transfer was also a successful implementation, but sadly it ended in a chemical pregnancy. Our embryos are not PGT tested. Dr. Chin and team have been nothing but helpful and compassionate during both of the times. Rather it was helping me manage my fears in my first pregnancy, to my fears of losing my pregnancy actually happing. I have been shown nothing but compassion and I’m grateful. 

Were you able to conceive?:

Yes 

Did you opt for additional treatments like acupuncture or hormonal treatment? If so, tell us about them.: 

I did acupuncture. I loved it and also did acupuncture with my second transfer. It made me feel relaxed before and after transfer. 

Any final thoughts?: 

I’m so so thankful to Dr. Chin and his team for helping us bring our son into the world. And even though our second pregnancy ended, I am grateful I got a chance to carry that little one, even if only for a moment. The fact that I was able to get pregnant twice with Dr. Chin after not being able to for 5 years is the exact reason we tracked back up to Ohio from Texas to see him. We will travel again for our third transfer in the future.
