Have you sought fertility treatment before? Why did you choose Dr. NeeOo W. Chin as your fertility expert?
I have PCOS and an underactive thyroid. After a year of trying for our second, we ended up going through a different local clinic to try to conceive. The clinic felt cold, and we felt as a mere number of a run-mill trying to get women in and out. We never felt heard, and they were far from sensitive when we had an expected loss. Finally, though we did conceive our middle child with IUI. After he turned 2, we knew we wanted one more and didn't want to wait long to start trying. We tried on our own for 6 months and encountered 2 back-to-back early losses. That's when we decided we wanted to try fertility treatments again, but we knew we wanted to go somewhere else. A friend recommended Dr. Chin to us, and I will always be so grateful for her. I read reviews and knew he was going to be our guy. After our first call with him, my husband and I looked at each other and could just tell this was going to be a much better experience and it was.
What were your expectations going into it?
We had preconceived expectations just from our first clinic that it would be in and out with no explanation of what was going to happen. Instead though Dr Chin walked through every single thing with us and actually listened to what we thought and would even try different things.
Can you summarize what treatments you received and your experience with Dr. Chin and the team?
We knew with our multiple losses and having 2 boys we would want to do IVF for PGT testing and also to have one girl. Dr Chin was nothing but supportive and understanding of our wishes. Our cycles went like this: 1. egg retrieval PGT normal 5 boys + 1 girl 2. ERA 3. Transfer that failed - Chin was just as devastated as us with about this and it truly showed us how much he cared. 4. egg retrieval - follicles wouldn't grow, got canceled day 10 5. new egg retrieval - PGT normal 4 girls + 1 boy 6. canceled transfer on day 10 for no follicle growth 7. transfer that resulted in our beautiful daughter We then were able to connect to a local family who had been going through Chin for a couple years that were unable to get pregnant. With lots of support and prayers we were able to donate our extra embryos to them to hopefully help them grow the family they had dreamed of one day. Our treatment was long, and Chin and his staff became like family. I never dreaded the appointment even though they were an hour away. Chin cared about this working just as much as we did.

Did you opt for additional treatments like acupuncture or hormonal treatment? If so, tell us about them.
I did acupuncture - This was one of the most enjoyable parts of this experience. I was able to leave the office happy and refreshed. I was nervous at first but after my first treatment I was in love, and did it whenever we transferred
Any final thoughts?
Dr. Chin and his staff changed our lives. Without them we wouldn't have been able to complete our family and help another family grow theirs. I will always be so grateful for them and how amazing they treated us. From the person checking us in to the person taking our blood we felt welcomed by all.
